ProLog Version and Release Information

May 20, 2006:      Major Version release of V6.00 which includes:

  • Completely reconfigured Logging Form; More logical grouping of contact related information.

  • The DX Spot Window is now dynamically configurable  to 6 or 24 lines retaining display of all the information and command buttons in either mode. The 6 line mode permits the placement and unobstructed view of the DX Spot Window and logging form simultaneously.

  • The DX Summit Monitor window automatically configures itself to the number of displayable lines based on window vertical sizing thus permitting it to reside side-by-side with the DX Spot window if desired.

  • ProLog now tracks every QSO in three ways. Standard QSL, eQSL or a combination of both. Instantly switch between QSL Methods to display your award status or work/confirm statistics relative to each  method.

  • Dx Spot Alerts can be independently gated by the chosen QSL Method.

  • Rig Memory Channel Switching can now be accomplished directly from the Logging Form.

  • A New LoTW membership database instantly conveys whether a given callsign has uploaded their logbook to the LotW website. You will receive a callsign's LoTW  status whenever you enter a new contact, lookup a contact in one of the supported Callsign databases or display the contact information from a previous contact. A current LoTW membership database is included with each system and monthly updates are available free of charge via our FTP Website.

  • Two new colors have been added to the traffic signaling award status methodology. In addition to the standard Red, Yellow and Green, Orange conveys that a station has been worked only with no active QSL'ing (Paper or eQSL) and Blue conveys that a station has been worked, a QSL has been received but no award submission has been made. This new Blue status is particularly useful for LoTW where contacts have been cross-referenced between logs but confirmation credits have not been purchased.

  • ProLog now supports all 25 digital modes defined in the ADIF 2.16 specification. This enhances the MixW interface because now all Digital Modes are properly translated.

  • QSO Begin and End Times are now logged down to the second so rapid-fire contacts with the same station on the same band will not produce an error message.

  • A new "DB" field has been added to the RST sent and received fields permitting the entry of DB-Over entries up to "99".

  •  A new feature named "VariList" permits the user to specify which data field information will appear in the Page Mode window. Default information includes Callsign, Date, Time, Band, Mode, RSTs, RSTr, and QSL/eQSL status. The last column is the VariList column which contains user programmed field data which can be horizontally scrolled to view information that exceeds the right margin. Conveniently, only the VariList column is scrolled horizontally so display of  the default contact information is maintained.

  • ProLog is Daylight Savings Time (DST) Ready. Commencing in 2007 the DST changeover dates will begin one month earlier in March and end one month later in November. Should Congress elect to switch back (Which they have reserved the right to do) ProLog permits you to select either timeframe (Old or New) with a single click.

The table below outlines the cost to upgrade to V6 which is based on the time that has elapsed since your original Purchase or last upgrade.  As a part of your upgrade package you will also receive a complementary copy of our latest 92,000 record QSL Route Database a $15 value!

  • Corrected a problem where DX Spots received from the DxTelNet program were not automatically populating the DX Spot List Window.

  • Corrected a problem where the Dupe Contact List was being displayed a second time just prior to saving a new contact to the database.

  • Corrected a problem where the Auto-End-QSO-Time function was not working properly. The same time (Minutes/Seconds) was being saved in both the Start and End QSO Time Fields.

March 16, 2008 -- V6.27

  • Corrected a problem where the Alarm On/Off LED was inadvertently being shut off whenever a change was made to the filter settings from the DX Spot Window.

  • Corrected a problem where the Dupe List of previous contacts was not properly displaying the transmission mode of the contact. This error applied only to the Digital Modes.

  • This version corrects a problem that was a side-effect of a fix that was incorporated in V6.26 relative to the Dupe Contact List being displayed a second time. The side-effect of this fix was that under certain circumstances the User Preferences would be defaulted back to their default values when saving contact data back to the logbook database. This problem has been corrected.

March 30, 2008 -- V6.28

  • Corrected a problem where ProLog would not properly initialize COM Port numbers above 9.

  • The Page Mode double-click function has been enhanced to statically display the selected contact information without returning to the Logging Form thus permitting the user to remain in Page Mode while reviewing contact data. To Edit the contact, simply select it then depress the keyboard "ENTER" key to place the contact into the logging form.

  • This version corrects a problem with the Logbook Re-index module. Running a Logbook Re-index would in fact setup a situation whereby the next new contact that was entered would appear out of sequence and, if searched for, would be associated with and display an entirely different contact and call sign.

April 23, 2008 -- V6.29

  • Corrected a problem where callsign information received back from QRZ Online was not properly processed due to case sensitivity.

  • Corrected a problem where on newly entered contacts, edits to the default Callbook Information (Name, QTH, County etc.) were not being retained when the contact was saved to the database.

  • Corrected a problem where there was some undesirable cross-talk between the QSL Route Manager and the Logging program. This had to do with looking up and transferring callsign information in the Route Manager then entering a new contact into the logging program. Rather than displaying the information for the callsign entered, the information from the previous Route Manager callsign lookup would appear in the logging form.
